Whether you're a beginning knitter or advanced, consider joining Sweater Club at Rita Mae's! You will have an opportunity to hone your skills and create a beautiful, well-fitted sweater for yourself or to give to a friend or family member. Our Sweater Club is an ongoing event - with a new sweater pattern added quarterly.
Our Sweater Club is led by Cathy Brisco, a professional instructor with many years of experience. We believe there is no substitute for learning and receiving guidance from an experienced instructor while surrounded by others with the same passion as you.
There is nothing more meaningful than a handmade sweater. It is the perfect addition to your wardrobe with a personalized touch! A sweater you can be proud of and have fun learning along the way.
We look forward to seeing you at Sweater Club starting July 25th!
Q3 Sweater Club
During this quarter's sweater club, we will have two options for you to choose from!
Join us as we knit the beautiful Dark & Stormy by Thea Coleman. This design is an updated version of shawl collared cardigans from the 1940s/50s. Thea plays a more modern twist on this classic cardigan. With new and interesting cables, a fit that skims your curves and ends where your jeans start, and a gorgeous yarn will add a little twist to the original!
Dark & Stormy is a top-down seamless cardigan with raglan sleeves and positive ease.
Our second option to this month's sweater club is the beautiful Casual Cardigan by Amanda Lilley. If you're looking for simple cables but still want to learn new skills - this sweater is for you. The Casual Cardigan features sharp cable panels that run along the center opening!
This cardigan is worked flat knitted in pieces and then seemed together. Set in sleeves and has 3-inches of positive ease.
This Club is $85 for instruction. Supplies not included. When you sign up for Sweater Club you will receive 10% off all class supplies. Also will have complimentary access to Help Days to support you as you work on the sweater of your choice, with the instructor Tuesdays from 12pm-6pm as needed.
Instructor: Cathy Briscoe
Workshop dates: Thurs. July 25, Aug 8, Aug 22, and Sept 5th.
